10 Questions to Ask Before Booking Your Videographer

Making sure you get the right people to help make your wedding perfect, is like going on a first date — you really want to hit it off straight away, but in reality it can be really frustrating, especially knowing what questions you want to ask. We hope we have saved you at least those first date nerves, by answering some of the main questions we often get asked and what you should be asking. How did you get started filming weddings and is it your main business? How long have you been in the weddings industry? About 13 years ago a friend was getting married on a very small budget and asked me to film it. She knew that I had a half decent video camera, and that it was always in my hand filming friends and family, so I didn’t hesitate in saying yes. I spent a few months researching various wedding films on YouTube, bought a basic editing software and I took it from there? How many videographers will be filming at my wedding? Myself & Maria film all our weddings with four cameras for ceremony, speeches & first dance (where permission is given & space is available) then using two/three throughout the rest of the day. Working with some great wedding professionals

Back in May, we filmed the ceremony of the wedding of Victoria and Peter Murray. The beautiful church at Booton was the backdrop, and the sun was blazing in all it’s glory. This was the second time that we have had the pleasure of working with Jamie Groom photography and Helen Ashton and the day was simply awesome.  The service flowed perfectly and to add to the emotion, we had a tearful groom aaawwww. Helen sang 3 of the couples chosen songs during the signing of the register, which really captivated the guests and added to what was already a heady atmosphere. At Walpole and Howson we offer your day your way. Victoria and Peter only wanted their ceremony filmed and we were more than happy to accommodate.
